to russia with love, bALLET tHEATRE hOUSTON'S SPRING SHOW
INCLUDING ACT II OF SWAN LAKE WILL BE HELD AT THE BERRY CENTER ON SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST
A great beginning for preschoolers three years old through Kindergarten to learn dance basics, creative movement and tap at the end of each class. Kids have fun while they benefit by learning self-awareness, team work, motor skills, listening skills and much more.
Our program focuses on classic dance training with a core of ballet and jazz plus other options. Developing strong, proper technique allows dancers to pursue their dreams including the possibility of being part of our resident companies.
For those wanting to take dance training including experienced dancers, dance teachers and those who want to take dance but would be out of place in a beginners class in our pre-professional program. Also, great for those who want this fun form of fitness.
Based on a program founded in 1980 by Margo Marshall and Gilbert Rome, the studio has earned a reputation for outstanding ballet training for beginners through pre-professionals. Cece White and American Jazz Dance Company joined the studio bringing an equal reputation for jazz and tap dancing.
Our classes focus on training dancers. There is an annual recital plus performance and competition opportunities through Ballet Theatre Houston and American Jazz Dance Company.
When people imagine "ballet" they often picture Swan Lake and particularly Act II the scene at the lake. Ballet Theatre Houston's growing company will present this ballet and other pieces in an ode to Russia's contribution to the art form. BTH's spring show will be held at the Berry Center on Saturday, April 21st at 5:00 p.m.
Sign up to be a part of this year's recital with an Alice in Wonderland theme. We're beginning to make plans and order costumes. Recital is an option for all Discovery Dance Classes and select Pre-Professional Training Classes. Current students and those joining by the end of January may choose to be part of the recital.
