We still have visions of Sugarplums dancing in our heads as we begin rehearsals for our Spring Show.
Ballet Theatre Houston's Spring Show features Act II of Swan Lake.
This is the beautiful lake scene. Prince Siegfried sits beside an enchanted lake as graceful swans gently float on its surface. He spots the most beautiful swan with a crown on her head. As dusk falls, the swan turns into a beautiful young woman, Odette. She informs him that a sorceror has turned all these young women into swans and that the lake formed from their parents' tears.
In addition to this classic, Artistic Director, Robert Underwood, will present other pieces to foster a love of dance in our community. The performance will be at The Berry Center on Saturday, April 21st. Check back for more information in the coming weeks.
